Amplifier Price in Australia (CIF) - 2023
The average amplifier import price stood at $199 per unit in July 2023, waning by -38.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 67% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $327 per unit in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,894 per unit), while the price for China ($53.9 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+22.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Amplifier Price in Australia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average amplifier export price amounted to $189 per unit, with an increase of 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by 72% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $200 per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($593 per unit), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($43 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to New Zealand (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Amplifier Imports in Australia
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of amplifiers decreased by -13.3% to 328K units in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 17%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 379K units, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, amplifier imports rose sharply to $73M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +9.6% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 13%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
