Almond Price in Slovakia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average almond import price amounted to $4,523 per ton, shrinking by -12.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, almond import price decreased by -36.4% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $7,238 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($17,684 per ton), while the price for Germany ($4,315 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+15.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average almond export price stood at $10,240 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 48% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price posted strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 99%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the Czech Republic.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the Czech Republic amounted to +13.0% per year.
