Iran (-2.1%), and the Netherlands (-16.5%) significantly weakened its position in terms of the global imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest machine-tool for working metal markets worldwide were Germany ($376M), Indonesia ($230M) and South Korea ($226M), with a combined 9% share of global imports. These countries were followed by Turkey, Iran, Italy, Japan, Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands, which together accounted for a further 10%.
