Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tonnes in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, animal guts imports surged to $X in 2020. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X% y-o-y. The level of import peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
