Viet Nam (X tonnes) was the main destination for buckwheat exports from Singapore, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, buckwheat exports to Viet Nam exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Malaysia (X kg), fivefold. Hong Kong SAR (X kg) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual growth rate of volume to Viet Nam stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Malaysia (+X% per year) and Hong Kong SAR (-X% per year).

In value terms, Viet Nam ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for buckwheat exports from Singapore, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Malaysia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Hong Kong SAR, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Viet Nam amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Malaysia (+X% per year) and Hong Kong SAR (+X% per year).

In 2020, the average buckwheat export price amounted to $X per tonne, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a slight expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, export price attained the peak level of $X per tonne. from 2016 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices failed to regain the momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2020, the countries with the highest prices were Cambodia ($X per tonne) and Viet Nam ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Hong Kong SAR ($X per tonne) and Malaysia ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2020, imports failed to regain the momentum.

In 2020, China (X tonnes) constituted the largest buckwheat supplier to Singapore, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, buckwheat imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Australia (X tonnes), more than tenfold. Poland (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
