Turkey was the key exporter of fireworks in the Middle East, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2021. Lebanon (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by the United Arab Emirates (X%).
Exports from Turkey decreased at an average annual rate of -X% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the United Arab Emirates (+X%) and Lebanon (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the United Arab Emirates emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +X% from 2012-2021. While the share of Lebanon (+X p.p.), the United Arab Emirates (+X p.p.) and Turkey (+X p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In 2021, the amount of fireworks imported in the Middle East soared to X tons, jumping by X% on 2020. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, fireworks imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -X% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by X%. Kuwait (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to fireworks imports into Lebanon stood at +X%. At the same time, Kuwait (+X%), Yemen (+X%) and the United Arab Emirates (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kuwait emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +X% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Saudi Arabia (-X%), Israel (-X%) and Turkey (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Yemen (+X p.p.), Saudi Arabia (+X p.p.) and Kuwait (+X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Turkey and Israel saw its share reduced by -X% and -X% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.
