Overall, imports, however, posted a tangible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
In value terms, derivatives of hydrocarbons imports rose markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Israel (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Syrian Arab Republic (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to derivatives of hydrocarbons imports into Turkey stood at X%. At the same time, Syrian Arab Republic (X%) and the United Arab Emirates (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Syrian Arab Republic emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. In Turkey, derivatives of hydrocarbons imports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Israel (X% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (X% per year).
