Overall, railway construction imports continue to indicate a deep descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, railway construction imports reached their peak figure at X tonnes in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, railway construction imports totaled $X in 2018. Over the period under review, railway construction imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The Czech Republic (X tonnes), Austria (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of railway construction imports to Hungary, together comprising X% of total imports. France, Poland, the UK and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by France (+X% per year), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
