In 2023, Germany (X tons), distantly followed by Italy (X tons), Spain (X tons), Poland (X tons), France (X tons), the UK (X tons), Romania (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) represented the largest exporters of unvulcanised rubber, together comprising X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Italy (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest unvulcanised rubber supplier in Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Spain, with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2023, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (X% per year) and Spain (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2023, rising by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, major exporting countries recorded the following prices: in Germany ($X per ton) and France ($X per ton), while Romania ($X per ton) and Spain ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2023, after two years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of unvulcanised rubber, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, unvulcanised rubber imports expanded remarkably to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2023 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Imports by Country

In 2023, Poland (X tons), Romania (X tons), Spain (X tons), Germany (X tons), France (X tons) and Italy (X tons) was the main importer of unvulcanised rubber in Europe, achieving X% of total import. The following importers - Hungary (X tons), Serbia (X tons), Portugal (X tons), Belgium (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Slovenia (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Poland ($X), Romania ($X) and Germany ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2023, together accounting for X% of total imports. The import price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2023, with an increase of X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2023, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
