Exports from Italy increased at an average annual rate of +14.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Ireland (+32.9%), Russia (+9.8%), Belgium (+9.2%), France (+8.3%), Poland (+7.5%) and the Netherlands (+2.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Ireland emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +32.9% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Germany (-5.4%) and Denmark (-25.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Italy (+38 p.p.), France (+2.5 p.p.), Ireland (+2.5 p.p.) and Russia (+2.3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Germany (-8.9 p.p.) and Denmark (-34.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest road-sweepers, mobile workshops and other special purpose vehicles supplying countries in Europe were Germany ($X), Italy ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for 64% of total exports. France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Poland and Ireland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 19%.
