The Czech Republic (X tons) was the main destination for newsprint exports from Denmark, accounting for a 63% share of total exports. Moreover, newsprint exports to the Czech Republic exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Greenland (X tons), threefold. Norway (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 7.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the Czech Republic stood at +29.6%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Greenland (-7.7% per year) and Norway (-23.0% per year).
In value terms, Greenland ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for newsprint exports from Denmark, comprising 70% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with an 18% share of total exports. It was followed by Norway, with a 4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Greenland totaled -5.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+25.5% per year) and Norway (-22.4% per year).

In 2021, Norway (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of newsprint to Denmark, accounting for a 67% share of total imports. Moreover, newsprint imports from Norway exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Sweden (X tons), twofold.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Norway totaled -6.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Sweden (-20.7% per year) and Finland (-22.1% per year).

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per ton), while the price for Sweden ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
