Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, woolen yarn imports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. In general, imports continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Russia represented the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which finished at X% of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Belarus (X%), Uzbekistan (X%) and Moldova (X%). The following importers - Kazakhstan (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to woolen yarn imports into Russia stood at X%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%), Kyrgyzstan (X%), Belarus (X%), Tajikistan (X%) and Moldova (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
