The third position in this ranking was held by Mongolia (X tons), with a 5.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Hong Kong SAR stood at +24.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (-0.8% per year) and Macao SAR (+9.7% per year).

In 2021, the average cucumber and gherkin export price amounted to $X per ton, surging by 33% against the previous year. Overall, the export price posted resilient growth. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In general, imports, however, enjoyed noticeable growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 4,952%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cucumber and gherkin imports stood at $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 2,322% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X.
