Strawberry Market Size in Chile

From 2011 to 2018, the growth of strawberry exports failed to regain its momentum.

In value terms, strawberry exports stood at $X in 2018. Over the period under review, strawberry exports continue to indicate a drastic drop. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Exports peaked at $X in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

China, Hong Kong SAR (X tonnes), Colombia (X tonnes) and Germany (X tonnes) were the main destinations of strawberry exports from Chile, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by French Polynesia, Qatar, Canada and Argentina, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by French Polynesia, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, China, Hong Kong SAR ($X) remains the key foreign market for strawberry exports from Chile, comprising X% of total strawberry exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Canada ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Qatar, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual growth rate of value to China, Hong Kong SAR stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Canada (+X% per year) and Qatar (+X% per year).
