Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Kazakhstan (X units) dominates exports structure, together mixing up 97% of total exports. Mongolia (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units) held a little share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, parts of harvester and threshers exports from expanded with a Kazakhstan of +0.6%, while Kyrgyzstan (-47.3%) experienced a precipitous contraction unchanged over the same period. At the same time, Mongolia (+52.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mongolia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +52.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-20.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Kazakhstan and Mongolia increased by +34 and +2.1 percentage points, respectively. Uzbekistan (-3.5 p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (-30.1 p.p.) saw their shares reduced.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) emerged as the largest parts of harvester and threshers supplier in Central Asia, comprising 91% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Mongolia ($X), with a 7.5% share of total exports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 1% share.
In Kazakhstan, parts of harvester and threshers exports expanded at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Mongolia (+67.8% per year) and Uzbekistan (-15.9% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, dropping by -27.3% against the previous year. Export price indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by 47%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mongolia (+9.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Central Asia
In 2021, parts of harvester and threshers imports in Central Asia soared to X units, jumping by 17% compared with the year before. Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -18.2% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 42% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, parts of harvester and threshers imports soared to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a temperate increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -18.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 40%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Kazakhstan was the largest importer of parts of harvester and threshers in Central Asia, with the volume of imports reaching X units, which was near 65% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Kyrgyzstan (X units), Turkmenistan (X units) and Uzbekistan (X units), together generating a 33% share of total imports.
Imports into Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+32.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +32.6% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Turkmenistan (-4.0%) and Uzbekistan (-6.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan increased by +17 and +10 percentage points, respectively. Turkmenistan (-9.9 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (-16.5 p.p.) saw their shares reduced.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported parts of harvester and threshers in Central Asia, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Turkmenistan, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Kazakhstan totaled +9.4%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Uzbekistan (-5.4% per year) and Turkmenistan (-6.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, approximately mirroring the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the import price increased by 6.1%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per unit), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+1.3%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
