Lebanon (X tons), France (X tons) and Australia (X tons) were the main destinations of piper pepper exports from Bangladesh, with a combined X% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Japan, Mauritius, Sweden, Canada and Denmark, which together accounted for a further X 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Mauritius (with a CAGR of +X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Australia ($X), France ($X) and Sweden ($X) were the largest markets for piper pepper exported from Bangladesh worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports. Japan, Lebanon, Mauritius, Canada and Denmark lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X the main countries of destination, Mauritius, with a CAGR of +X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The average piper pepper export price stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by X% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, piper pepper export price increased by +X% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of X% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Mauritius ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Bangladesh
