In value terms, China ($X) remains the largest invalid carriage supplier in Asia-Pacific, comprising 93% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by India ($X), with a 3.7% share of total exports.
In China, invalid carriage exports expanded at an average annual rate of +7.7% over the period from 2012-2021.

In 2021, Japan (X units), distantly followed by India (X units), Malaysia (X units), Indonesia (X units), Australia (X units), the Philippines (X units) and Vietnam (X units) were the major importers of invalid carriages not mechanically propelled, together mixing up 72% of total imports. The following importers - South Korea (X units), Pakistan (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units), Thailand (X units), Hong Kong SAR (X units) and Bangladesh (X units) - together made up 22% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by India (with a CAGR of +17.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Japan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported invalid carriages not mechanically propelled in Asia-Pacific, comprising 43% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Australia ($X), with a 15% share of total imports. It was followed by India, with a 5.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Japan amounted to +2.0%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Australia (+10.1% per year) and India (+17.8% per year).
