The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($X per ton), while Pakistan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The volume of import peaked in 2023 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2022, and then dropped in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2023, China (X tons) was the major importer of frozen crustaceans, constituting X% of total imports. Japan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by South Korea (X%). Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), Vietnam (X tons), Hong Kong SAR (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) took a little share of total imports.
