The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 20%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 23% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Indonesia represented the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which amounted to 37% of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 22% share, followed by Thailand (18%), Singapore (11%), Malaysia (7.2%) and the Philippines (4.5%).

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Singapore (with a CAGR of +13.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
