The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, brown rice imports totaled $X in 2018. Over the period under review, brown rice imports continue to indicate an outstanding expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2018 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Uruguay (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of brown rice to Argentina, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, brown rice imports from Uruguay exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Pakistan (X tonnes), threefold.
