Tunisia (X units) and Namibia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Gabon was also the fastest-growing in terms of the lifting equipment exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Senegal (X%), Morocco (X%) and Namibia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Tunisia (X%) and South Africa (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Export Prices by Country
The export price in Africa stood at $X per unit in 2023, growing by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the export price increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Africa ($X per unit), while Gabon ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Tunisia (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Africa
In 2023, the amount of lifting equipment imported in Africa surged to X units, with an increase of X% on 2022. Over the period under review, imports showed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2023 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, lifting equipment imports skyrocketed to $X in 2023. Overall, imports saw a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
