Over the period under review, frozen orange juice exports attained their maximum in 2018 and are likely to continue its growth in the near future.

In value terms, frozen orange juice exports amounted to $X in 2018. Over the period under review, frozen orange juice exports continue to indicate tangible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, frozen orange juice exports attained their peak figure in 2018 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

South Africa represented the major exporting country with an export of about X tonnes, which reached X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Egypt (X tonnes) and Ghana (X tonnes), together committing a X% share of total exports. Morocco (X tonnes) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2007 to 2018, average annual rates of growth with regard to frozen orange juice exports from South Africa stood at +X%. The volume of imports peaked at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, frozen orange juice imports amounted to $X in 2018. Overall, frozen orange juice imports continue to indicate a drastic setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2010 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. The level of imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Algeria (X tonnes), distantly followed by Libya (X tonnes), Nigeria (X tonnes), Sierra Leone (X tonnes) and Mozambique (X tonnes) represented the main importers of frozen unconcentrated orange juice, together generating X% of total imports. The following importers - Morocco (X tonnes), Mauritius (X tonnes), Kenya (X tonnes), Botswana (X tonnes), Benin (X tonnes), Tunisia (X tonnes) and Ghana (X tonnes) - together made up X% of total imports.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Sierra Leone, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

These countries were followed by Mozambique, Morocco, Kenya, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Botswana, Ghana and Benin, which together accounted for a further X terms of the main importing countries, Sierra Leone experienced the highest rates of growth with regard to imports, over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2018, the frozen orange juice import price in Africa amounted to $X per tonne, stabilizing at the previous year. Overall, the frozen orange juice import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2010 an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, the import prices for frozen unconcentrated orange juice attained their peak figure at $X per tonne in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
