Vegetable Puree Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022

In January 2022, the average vegetable puree import price amounted to $1,181 per ton, increasing by 7.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2021 when the average import price increased by 28% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,632 per ton in January 2021; however, from February 2021 to January 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Poland ($2,165 per ton), while the price for Armenia stood at $866 per ton.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Armenia (+1.7%).

Vegetable Puree Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022

The average vegetable puree export price stood at $1,549 per ton in 2022, which is down by -9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 53% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,873 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($2,302 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($1,391 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (-1.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Vegetable Puree Imports in Russia

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of vegetable puree, when their volume decreased by -3.5% to 7.7K tons. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 24% against the previous year.

In value terms, vegetable puree imports contracted modestly to $9.4M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 13%.

Vegetable Puree Exports in Russia

Vegetable puree exports from Russia surged to 1.7K tons in 2022, increasing by 21% against the year before. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, vegetable puree exports expanded notably to $2.7M in 2022. Overall, exports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 12%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $2.9M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
