Vanilla Price in Norway (CIF) - 2023
The average vanilla import price stood at $281K per ton in August 2023, increasing by 9.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 45% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $348K per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Madagascar ($283K per ton), while the price for Uganda totaled $111K per ton.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+22.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average vanilla export price amounted to $236,965 per ton, rising by 16% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a measured expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 91% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $268,398 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
