Unroasted Decaffeinated Coffee Price in Luxembourg (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average unroasted decaffeinated coffee import price amounted to $6,709 per ton, falling by -6.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, posted a temperate expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 92% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $10,207 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($15,716 per ton), while the price for Portugal ($3,599 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Unroasted Decaffeinated Coffee Price in Luxembourg (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average unroasted decaffeinated coffee export price amounted to $11,201 per ton, approximately equating the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a notable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 96%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $27,500 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Romania.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for France amounted to +30.3% per year.

Unroasted Decaffeinated Coffee Imports in Luxembourg

In 2022, unroasted decaffeinated coffee imports into Luxembourg reduced notably to 4.7 tons, with a decrease of -18.2% compared with the previous year. Overall, imports, however, posted a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 166%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 5.7 tons, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, unroasted decaffeinated coffee imports dropped notably to $31K in 2022. In general, imports saw a pronounced descent.
