Decaffeinated Coffee Price in India (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average decaffeinated coffee export price amounted to $3,464 per ton, growing by 17% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average export price increased by 74% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6,557 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Australia ($6,190 per ton), while the average price for exports to Israel ($2,416 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Singapore (+10.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Decaffeinated Coffee Price in India (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average decaffeinated coffee import price amounted to $8,961 per ton, stabilizing at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 141%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $9,006 per ton, leveling off in the following year.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Vietnam.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Vietnam amounted to +20.3% per year.
Decaffeinated Coffee Exports in India
For the fourth consecutive year, India recorded growth in overseas shipments of decaffeinated coffee, which increased by 7.8% to 434 tons in 2022. Overall, exports showed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 293% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, decaffeinated coffee exports soared to $1.5M in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 322%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
