Titanium Price in Thailand (CIF) - 2022
The average titanium import price stood at $4,435 per ton in 2022, growing by 6.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, faced a abrupt decrease. The import price peaked at $16,935 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($8,742 per ton), while the price for Estonia ($2,449 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Estonia (-4.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Titanium Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average titanium export price amounted to $58,090 per ton, jumping by 5,900% against the previous year. In general, the export price posted a significant increase. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($260,333 per ton), while the average price for exports to Japan ($3,231 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+14.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Titanium Imports in Thailand
In 2022, approx. 300 tons of titanium sponge, powders, ingots and slabs were imported into Thailand; which is down by -24.6% compared with 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 139%.
