Taro (Cocoyam) Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2023
The average taro (cocoyam) export price stood at $738 per ton in November 2023, with a decrease of -42.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a noticeable reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 155% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,734 per ton. From April 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Australia ($3,145 per ton), while the average price for exports to Singapore ($440 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
