Sparkling Wine Price in Tunisia (FOB) - 2022

The average sparkling wine export price stood at $34 per litre in 2022, dropping by -25.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when the average export price increased by 57%. The export price peaked at $53 per litre in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($62 per litre), while the average price for exports to Germany stood at $23 per litre.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+28.6%).

Sparkling Wine Price in Tunisia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average sparkling wine import price amounted to $17 per litre, growing by 118% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced decrease. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $21 per litre in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($27 per litre), while the price for Germany totaled $11 per litre.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Sparkling Wine Exports in Tunisia

In 2022, the amount of sparkling wine exported from Tunisia surged to 13K litres, picking up by 31% on 2021. Overall, exports, however, recorded a abrupt setback. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 17K litres in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, sparkling wine exports declined slightly to $449K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a deep slump. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $698K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
