Semiconductor Device Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
The average semiconductor device import price stood at $0.3 per unit in 2022, rising by 1.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of 48%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $0.6 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($3 per unit), while the price for Hong Kong SAR ($0.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Japan (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Semiconductor Device Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average semiconductor device export price amounted to $2.9 per unit, dropping by -42.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the average export price increased by 85%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $7.1 per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($4.7 per unit), while the average price for exports to China ($0.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Semiconductor Device Imports in Indonesia
In 2022, supplies from abroad of semiconductor devices decreased by -3.3% to 166M units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, total imports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +15.8% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +55.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 42%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 172M units, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, semiconductor device imports reduced modestly to $46M in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $47M, and then contracted modestly in the following year.

Semiconductor Device Exports in Indonesia
In 2022, shipments abroad of semiconductor devices decreased by -3.5% to 7.7M units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 8M units in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.
In value terms, semiconductor device exports fell remarkably to $23M in 2022. Overall, exports saw a sharp downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 18% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $46M in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
