Semiconductor Device Price in Algeria (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average semiconductor device import price amounted to $7.8 per unit, rising by 14% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 188% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $76 per unit in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7.6 per unit), while the price for Italy ($0.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+14.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Semiconductor Device Price in Algeria (FOB) - 2022
The average semiconductor device export price stood at $227 per unit in 2020, increasing by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average export price increased by 123%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $269 per unit. From 2018 to 2020, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.

In 2022, imports of semiconductor devices into Algeria contracted sharply to 32K units, falling by -43.8% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 702% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 56K units, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
