Railway Goods Wagon Price in Australia (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average railway goods wagon import price amounted to $103,501 per unit, increasing by 1.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $113,316 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +11.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 27%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $184M, and then contracted slightly in the following year.
