In 2022, the average yoghurt and fermented milk export price amounted to $1,418 per ton, dropping by -5.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 13%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,502 per ton, and then fell in the following year.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Kuwait ($1,568 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($1,455 per ton), while the average price for exports to Jordan ($1,213 per ton) and Bahrain ($1,258 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Jordan (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average yoghurt and fermented milk import price stood at $2,980 per ton in 2022, growing by 6.4% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 8.9%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $3,451 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($3,189 per ton) and Jordan ($3,146 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,325 per ton) and Belgium ($2,469 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Jordan (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
