Price for Wine of Fresh Grapes in France (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average wine of fresh grapes export price amounted to $7.4 per litre, dropping by -2.5% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 16% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $8.0 per litre in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($12.9 per litre), while the average price for exports to Germany ($3.4 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average wine of fresh grapes import price amounted to $1.4 per litre, shrinking by -7.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 an increase of 84% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3.0 per litre. From November 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
