The average import price for winding wire, other than of coppers stood at $4,070 per ton in March 2024, rising by 7.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2023 an increase of 9.3% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $4,126 per ton in July 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to March 2024.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In March 2024, the country with the highest price was China ($3,990 per ton), while the price for Switzerland totaled $3,980 per ton.

The average export price for winding wire, other than of coppers stood at $6,637 per ton in 2022, growing by 18% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a mild shrinkage. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $7,514 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($9,738 per ton), while the average price for exports to Paraguay ($5,741 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
