The average export price for vinyl chloride polymers; waste, parings and scraps stood at $274 per ton in September 2023, rising by 40% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 180% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $532 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($573 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($57.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+3.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average import price for vinyl chloride polymers; waste, parings and scraps amounted to $512 per ton, picking up by 30% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a slight contraction. The import price peaked at $749 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
