Price for Truck and Bus Tyre in Luxembourg (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average truck and bus tyre export price amounted to $172 per unit, approximately equating the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 5.6% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $173 per unit in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Turkey ($201 per unit) and France ($170 per unit), while the average price for exports to Italy ($170 per unit) and Spain ($170 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+1.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average truck and bus tyre import price stood at $170 per unit in August 2023, standing approximately at the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 5.8% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $171 per unit. From May 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Belgium ($171 per unit) and Spain ($171 per unit), while the price for Turkey ($115 per unit) and Slovakia ($170 per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Truck and Bus Tyre in Luxembourg
For the fourth consecutive year, Luxembourg recorded growth in shipments abroad of tyres for buses or lorries, which increased by 48% to 3.7M units in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +23.1% over the last three years.
