Price for Soap in Bars Other than for Toilet Use in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022

In March 2022, the average export price for soap and organic surface-active products in bars other than for toilet use amounted to $1,987 per ton, with an increase of 13% against the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2022 an increase of 19% m-o-m. The export price peaked in March 2022.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($5,559 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($265 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, exports, however, saw a mild downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 23% against the previous year.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 163% against the previous year.
