The average import price for silicates; commercial alkali metal silicateses stood at $424 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 23% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible reduction. The import price peaked at $554 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
