The average import price for hams, shoulders and cuts of swine (salted, in brine, dried or smoked) stood at $11,542 per ton in October 2023, surging by 38% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated pronounced growth from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, import price for hams, shoulders and cuts of swine (salted, in brine, dried or smoked) increased by +38.1% against September 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 42% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in October 2023.
