Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a slight contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 5.5% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,135 per ton. From July 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($1,833 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($1,566 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
