In November 2023, the average export price for processed cheese (excluding grated or powdered) amounted to $5,183 per ton, with a decrease of -2.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 5.4% m-o-m. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($5,900 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($3,175 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
