In June 2023, the average export price for printed matter in single sheets, whether or not folded amounted to $6,941 per ton, waning by -13% against the previous month. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 an increase of 102% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $14,205 per ton. From August 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($36,182 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($1,388 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for printed matter in single sheets, whether or not folded stood at $7,802 per ton in 2022, declining by -19.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 159% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $10,278 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was France ($30,816 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($3,717 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+38.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
