Price for Organic Surface Active Agent in Iran (FOB) - 2022

The average organic surface active agent export price stood at $1,026 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -5.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a noticeable decrease. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Azerbaijan (+12.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average organic surface active agent import price stood at $2,874 per ton in 2022, flattening at the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 9.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $2,919 per ton in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($8,781 per ton), while the price for the Philippines ($1,514 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (+19.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Exports of Organic Surface Active Agent in Iran

In 2022, organic surface active agent exports from Iran soared to 13K tons, with an increase of 60% compared with 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports posted a significant increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
