The countries with the highest levels of surfactant imports in 2016 were the U.S. (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes), France (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes), Canada (X tonnes), the UK (X tonnes), Mozambique (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), India (X tonnes), China (X tonnes), and Austria (X tonnes), together finishing at X% of total import.
From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of surfactant imports, among the main importing countries, was attained by Mozambique (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X), France ($X) and China ($X) appeared as the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2016, with a combined X% share of global imports. These countries were followed by Canada, Belgium, the UK, the U.S., the Netherlands, Italy, Austria, India and Mozambique, which together accounted for a further X%.
Mozambique (+X% per year) had the highest rates of growth with regard to the surfactant imports, in terms of the main importing countries, over the last X years, while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Surfactant Import Prices By Country
The average surfactant import price stood at $X per tonne in 2016, falling by -X% against the previous year. Overall, surfactant import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008, when import price increased by X% y-o-y. Global surfactant import peaked of $X per tonne in 2013- however, from 2014 to 2016, it failed to regain its strength.
There were significant differences in the average import prices amongst major importing countries. In 2016, the country with the highest import prices was China ($X per tonne), while Mozambique ($X per tonne) was among the lowest.
From 2007 to 2016, the most notable growth rate of surfactant import prices was attained by India (+X% per year), while the other global leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
