In November 2023, the average import price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds amounted to $5,005 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 9.3% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,614 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($5,068 per ton), while the price for Cote d'Ivoire stood at $4,631 per ton.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (-0.9%).

In November 2023, the average export price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds amounted to $5,637 per ton, increasing by 7.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 9.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $6,062 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($6,550 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($3,633 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Algeria (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Nuts, Edible; Cashew Nuts, Shelled, Fresh or Dried in Turkey
In 2022, supplies from abroad of nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds decreased by -8.3% to 13K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 58%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 15K tons, and then declined in the following year.
