The average import price for nuts, edible; cashew nuts, shelled, fresh or drieds stood at $5,466 per ton in December 2023, approximately reflecting the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 when the average import price increased by 2.4% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $6,053 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($5,459 per ton), while the price for Cote d'Ivoire ($4,559 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
