Price for Non-Refractory Clay Constructional Products in Turkey (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average non-refractory clay constructional products export price amounted to $642 per ton, jumping by 32% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a tangible increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, non-refractory clay constructional products export price decreased by -25.6% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 71%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $862 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iraq ($1,717 per ton), while the average price for exports to Georgia ($95 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Burkina Faso (+41.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-refractory clay constructional products import price stood at $676 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 4.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 50%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $784 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($816 per ton), while the price for Germany totaled $594 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+30.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Exports of Non-Refractory Clay Constructional Products in Turkey

In 2022, approx. 389 tons of non-refractory clay constructional products were exported from Turkey; jumping by 44% against 2021. In general, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +86.9% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, non-refractory clay constructional products exports surged to $250K in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
