The average import price for mushrooms and truffles, other than of the genus "agaricus" stood at $3,216 per ton in October 2023, surging by 6.5% against the previous month. Over the period from October 2022 to October 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 20% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,296 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($4,144 per ton), while the price for Poland ($2,825 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
