Price for Laptop and Tablet Computer in Turkey (CIF) - 2023
The average laptop and tablet computer import price stood at $419 per unit in July 2023, which is down by -20.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 22% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $623 per unit in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($421 per unit), while the price for Vietnam amounted to $347 per unit.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+1.9%).
Price for Laptop and Tablet Computer in Turkey (FOB) - 2023
The average laptop and tablet computer export price stood at $497 per unit in July 2023, with an increase of 5.9% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 98% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $870 per unit in October 2022; however, from November 2022 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($946 per unit), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($88.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Laptop and Tablet Computer in Turkey
In 2022, the amount of laptops and palm-top computers imported into Turkey expanded modestly to 3.2M units, growing by 2.3% against the year before. In general, total imports indicated a significant expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +25.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +98.3% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 91%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, laptop and tablet computer imports totaled $1.5B in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 90% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Exports of Laptop and Tablet Computer in Turkey
In 2022, shipments abroad of laptops and palm-top computers decreased by -20.6% to 92K units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 93%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 115K units, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, laptop and tablet computer exports reduced modestly to $35M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 103% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $36M, and then shrank in the following year.
